The business idea of Wholegrain-Gourmet Ltd is to provide consumers palatable, artisan wholegrain breads. All breads have been baked with “levain” without added yeast. This traditional baking method allows the formation of a very aromatic crust. These new low acid spelt wheat and barley breads offer a palatable and healthy alternative for traditional rye bread. In the final dough only wholegrain flours have been used and the fibre content is over 8 %.
